HANK MIDNIGHT

Hank Midnight is the recording project of Hank Mittnacht, an American songwriter and film composer based in Toulouse, France.

Goldenrod and Asters ^{(work in progress)}

Goldenrod and Asters is a long-form recording project inspired by a chapter in Robin Wall Kimmerer’s BRAIDING SWEETGRASS. As Kimmerer writes: “growing together, [asters and goldenrod] receive more pollinator visits than they would if they were growing alone… [that] pairing of purple and gold is lived reciprocity; its wisdom is that the beauty of one is illuminated by the radiance of the other.” I’ll be exploring worlds of contrast in an EP series, bridging together genres, production styles, languages, and collaborative exchanges with fellow musicians.
