RELEASE
"Arps and Hilltops" is an exquisite corpse of love ballads in that each song features a different collaborator: Laura Heaberlin arranged the vocal harmonies in “River Song” and “Tilting”; Céline Boudier (Club Célest) arranged the vocal harmonies in “Aquamarine”; Zubin Hensler produced, arranged and mixed “And You” and “Honeysuckle”; Chloé Mossessian guided me through the production of “Ships” with visual references— she also made the album art, music videos, and canvases for the songs on the album; Joe Lambert mastered “And You” “Honeysuckle” and “Aquamarine”, and Paul Gold mastered “River Song” “Ships” and “Tilting". I’m grateful to share an EP that features so many artists who inspire me.
p.s. I've been producing an LP of new songs that I plan to release in 2025. It features a great drummer and possibly too many guitars. Stay tuned!

REVIEW

“A meditative, compelling success from Hank Midnight, “Honeysuckle” weaves lush vocal immersion and prancing guitar arpeggios. “Why do I return to you like honeysuckle?” the vocals ask alongside flourishing guitar lines, as spacey synth effervescence concludes the section with gorgeous entrancement. The project of Hank Mittnacht continues to enthrall with an atmospheric, precise vein of songwriting that evolves alongside a beautiful array of guitars and synths.“

Been slowly chipping away at a collaborative EP (to be released in the coming months) and on a self-produced LP (to be released in 2025).
I’ll be posting here occasionally about the process of making this album. Drop in from time to time for music news or to send a line.
